Umdingi Safaris
Representative: Clint Robertson | Owner
Kelly and Clint run and own Umdingi Safaris from their home in Victoria Falls, with the help of their newly born baby (Sophia) and their two basset hounds making sure that all staff and visitors coming through the gate each get at least one lick each.
Our Mobile Safaris offer an exclusive wilderness experience, meaning a very personalized safari; our products are designed to provide an intimate and immersive encounter with wildlife and nature while offering comfortable accommodations, private guides, and tailored activities.
Our Safaris take place in remote areas within the 3 national parks, we work in (Chizarira, Hwange and Zambezi National Parks) away from larger tourist crowds. These locations provide a more secluded and pristine environment for wildlife viewing. Our main goal is to spend time away from the vehicles and experience what few people on safari ever have: a guided bush walk led by experienced professional guides. These walks offer a chance to explore the wilderness on foot, learning about the smaller details of the ecosystem, animal tracks, and local flora, we of course also offer a game viewer for all of our safaris.
We pride our selves with being as flexible as possible, allowing customizable itineraries based on preferences and interests of your clients. We currently have two offerings with our Mobile Safaris, the first a Dome Tent And secondly our brand new Meru Tents, which offer more space and definitely look the part. Both tented options typically equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and sometimes even private decks or verandas. A max of 6 guests per guide, we will host a bigger group with a second guide being drafted into help cater for the extra guests.
We offer three main meals per day, and while in camp; Meals are usually served in a communal dining tent or under the open sky, creating a convivial atmosphere. All meals are prepped inhouse and where necessary our Super Hero Chef Alfred is on call to make the home made bread rolls or afternoon cakes (his motto is that if it can be made in an oven he can make it using coals).
