For over 30 years, Shenton Safaris have been proudly offering guests an authentic safari experience in the renowned South Luangwa National Park. Commonly known as the ‘Valley of the Leopard’, the area is regarded as one of the world's greatest wildlife sanctuaries.

One of the few remaining owner-run operations in Zambia, Derek Shenton and his wife Jules, have developed two camps, Kaingo and Mwamba, located deep within the remote North of the park, in an area renowned for its varied, beautiful landscapes and exceptional game viewing.
At Kaingo, our six traditional brick and thatch rooms each come with a private viewing deck perched high above the banks of the Luangwa River. Whereas our intimate bush camp, Mwamba, offers a truly authentic experience with just four rustic rooms rebuilt from scratch each year using grass and other natural materials.
Along with an exclusive network of wildlife hides to truly immerse guests in nature, and the owner’s guiding ethos and the highly trained and passionate team, Shenton Safaris camps appeal to a broad market of safari goers from across the globe but cater particularly well for specialist interests such as walking and serious photography.
