An owner run small boutique safari lodge, Kaingu is set in an area of pristine wilderness, KaingU Lodge offers a magnificent game and safari experience in the heart of the African bush. The lodge is environmentally-friendly, with the architecture of the entire camp and associated buildings designed to blend in and harmonise with the surroundings. Maximum use has been made of existing trees, rocky outcrops and topographical features in its layout and construction, thereby minimising the impact on the original look and feel of the area. The focal point of the lodge is the thatched central area with lounge, dining room and bar overlooking the river. Situated on a high plateau, KaingU enjoys an all-year-round moderate climate and is accessible in all seasons with good road and air access. With 6 guest tents and a family safari house KaingU is in intimate yet luxurious camp.

Perhaps the greatest feature of the lodge is the absolutely unique river landscape where the lodge is located. It is the only lodge on this unique stretch of river where the Kafue spreads out into a myriad of rocky channels and island before rejoining to flow into the lake. Game drives are usually done in the National Park (a ten minute boat ride away), while boating, canoeing, walks and even lounging in rock pools is also all on offer.
